DescriptionThe whole story▼
The World Supersport silencers, on a motorcycle that has not been stripped for the track. Spark's GDU8837T uses the same rectangular cases as its WSSP kit but is built to fit a standard Panigale V2 — with two exceptions worth knowing before ordering.
Key Features
- Full titanium racing system for the Ducati Panigale V2 955/959, 2016 to 2024.
- Two rectangular titanium silencers under the seat.
- 5.9 kg against 11.6 kg standard — 5.7 kg saved.
- Fits the standard motorcycle, unlike the WSSP kit.
- Not compatible with the original licence plate holder or the passenger footboards.
- The radiator fan duct must be modified.
The Version That Fits
Spark builds this system twice. The WSSP kit GDU8836T carries a FIM homologation at 105 dB and is expressly not compatible with a stock motorcycle — it needs the plate holder gone, the radiator fan changed and the pillion pegs removed.
This one keeps the standard radiator fan and asks only that its duct be modified. The plate holder and the passenger footboards still have to go, which on a Panigale V2 most owners can live with. Four hundred euros separates them, and what the more expensive one adds is a racing certificate rather than a better exhaust.
Why Rectangular
The cases are the rectangular silencers Spark originally designed for the Ducati 848, 1098 and 1098S. That is not nostalgia — a rectangular section holds more absorbent volume under a Panigale's tail than a round case of the same height.
More volume means more absorption for the same packaging, which is why Spark uses this shape where a decibel figure matters. On this system it buys a quieter exhaust than the Grid-O or Moto GP versions without giving anything back in flow.
Three Things to Plan For
The plate holder has to be replaced, the passenger footboards come off, and the radiator fan duct needs modifying — Spark states all three. The duct is the one that catches people out, because it means cutting rather than unbolting.
There is also a cable. To reinstall the original lambda sensors, extension 0CAVO002 is required and it is not supplied. Order it with the system rather than discovering it halfway through.
Fitment & Compatibility
Ducati Panigale V2 955, 2020 through 2024, and the Panigale 959 from 2016 through 2019, on the standard motorcycle. The FIM-homologated WSSP version is GDU8836T; the stainless-header WSSP replica is GDU8853T. The Grid-O and Moto GP underseat systems are GDU8832T and GDU8833T.
Road Approval
None. The system carries no EC certificate and no catalytic converter. Closed circuits only.
