Springs are a service part: they age, they settle, and replacing them restores the geometry.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 01672-03

Function

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. A settled spring lowers the machine without anyone changing a setting. Öhlins publishes sag targets, and those are the reference for choosing a rate. Rates are offered in steps so a change can be made in one direction at a time.

Original Öhlins Part

Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it.

Identifying the Right Part

Order under 01672-03. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Free length and inner diameter decide whether a spring fits; the rate decides whether it suits. Öhlins publishes sag targets, and those are the reference for choosing a rate.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01672-03

Category: Springs

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01672-03_bcb7eec8-37d3-44b4-8a44-8f1b4b605f5e.png?v=1788871386
