DescriptionThe whole story▼
The SuperSport 950 with a quick-action throttle, and the race-layout additional switch block in titanium.
Key Features
- Ducati SuperSport 950 (2021–2024)
- For quick-action throttle installations
- Race layout
- Titanium anodised Ergal 7075
- CNC-machined from solid
- Military-specification switch elements
- Pre-wired for the original connector
A Conversion With Consequences
Fitting a shorter throttle action displaces the original switch block. This unit gives the functions a home and puts them in a circuit arrangement.
An Extra Block
It mounts in addition to what the kit left. That is the point most frequently misunderstood and it is worth stating rather than assuming.
A Third Less Rotation
Quick-action kits cut the wrist movement to full throttle substantially. On a bike ridden hard on mountain roads that removes a hand adjustment from every corner.
Titanium Anodising
One finish, matched to the throttle hardware it accompanies. It is chosen mid-conversion rather than as a styling exercise.
Beyond Road Requirement
Military-specification elements inside the machined body. A SuperSport covers distance in weather other motorcycles wait out.
Pre-Wired
Ducati's own connector, nothing spliced. The installation comes off completely when the bike is returned to standard.
Integrated Winglets
Ducati worked the aerodynamic surfaces into the 2021 bodywork rather than bolting them on afterwards. They do almost nothing at road speeds and the company never claimed otherwise, which is a more honest position than most manufacturers take on the subject.
A Hundred and Ten Horsepower
Enough to be genuinely quick on any road that has corners and not so much that the motorcycle becomes a negotiation. Ducati has resisted the temptation to chase a bigger number here for three generations now.
Comfortable Enough for a Tuesday
That is the whole point of the model and it is why these accumulate mileage in a way superbikes never do. A SuperSport gets ridden to work, which means the switchgear ages on a schedule no Panigale's ever approaches.
Where the Restyle Landed
Ducati fitted the Panigale V4's nose to a motorcycle whose engine, frame and suspension were unchanged, and the order book responded immediately. It is an uncomfortable lesson about how much of a purchase is decided before anyone rides anything, and it kept a genuinely good bike in production.
