DescriptionThe whole story▼
Twelve components, ordered once: the upper cowl, the belly pan and its two brackets, both flanks, both wings, and the complete race tail with its lower section, its support and its brackets. Everything needed to take an R9 from road bodywork to a race-prepared machine, front and rear.
Key Features
- Upper race fairing CY20210, lower fairing CY20220 with brackets IN2001Y and IN2002Y
- Both side panels, CY20231 and CY20232, with the carbon wings CY20237 and CY20239
- Complete tail: seat unit CY20300, lower section CY20301, support CY20310 and brackets IN2005Y
- Prepreg inner skins throughout, vacuum bagged and autoclave cured
- Supplied in bare buffed weave, ready for the paint shop
Plan the Whole Build, Not Just the Bodywork
The kit covers the panels. A finished bike usually needs four more things from the same range, and they are easier to order now than to discover mid-build: a seat foam, which is a rider fitting and comes in three levels; the dashboard holder AL2001Y, because the instrument loses its mounting with the standard nose; one of the three intake tubes with its holder IN2004Y; and the airbox holder IN2003Y. The radiator shroud CY20072 and the front mudguard CY19010 are optional but commonly fitted at the same time.
A New Platform, a Thin Aftermarket
The R9 is recent, and that shows in what is available for it. There is far less choice than for an R6 that has been raced for twenty years, and lead times on the parts that do exist are longer because nothing sits on a shelf in quantity. The practical consequence is scheduling rather than cost: order over the winter, allow for paint afterwards, and do not plan a first race around a delivery date.
Fitment
For the Yamaha R9, 2024 to 2026.
Road Approval
None. This is closed-course competition bodywork with no lighting provision, front or rear.
