DescriptionThe whole story▼
Thirteen point four newton metres at 3,600 rpm. On a litre superbike that is not a number anyone expects to see from an exhaust — it is the kind of gain that changes how the bike behaves out of a slow corner. The Akrapovic Evolution Line (Carbon) S-K10E12-RC for the 2026 Kawasaki ZX-10R delivers that, plus 11.1 PS higher up, and takes 4.9 kg off the standard system.
Key Features
- 13.4 Nm more torque at 3,600 rpm and 11.1 PS (8.2 kW) more power at 8,550 rpm, recorded back to back on the Akrapovic in-house dyno
- Peak power rises from 187.3 PS to 194.2 PS and arrives 450 rpm higher
- 6.67 kg against the standard 11.61 kg: 4.9 kg and 42.5 per cent less
- Carbon fibre muffler outer sleeve with a high-grade titanium end cap; link pipe and inner muffler structure entirely titanium
- Hexagonal muffler — the Akrapovic signature shape, with titanium internals to keep mass down
- Linear delivery across the whole rev range rather than a single peak
- Optional titanium track day link pipe, aluminium muffler bracket and noise damper available
Why the Low-End Gain Is the Headline
Superbike exhausts are usually sold on peak power, and this one has 6.9 PS of that. But the number worth reading is the 13.4 Nm at 3,600 rpm. A Euro 5+ ZX-10R runs a heavily restricted bottom end to pass noise and emissions; removing the standard system and its catalytic converter returns what the restriction took away, and it returns it exactly where a rider picks the bike up off the apex.
Akrapovic describes the delivery as linear across the range, which is consistent with a gain that starts at 3,600 rpm rather than appearing only near the limiter.
Construction
The outer sleeve is carbon fibre; the end cap is high-grade titanium; the link pipe and the entire inner muffler structure are titanium as well. Steel appears nowhere in the gas path, which is why 42.5 per cent of the standard mass disappears rather than the fifteen or twenty per cent a carbon sleeve over a steel core would give.
Fitment and Compatibility
S-K10E12-RC is built for the 2026 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR. The ECU must be remapped when this system is installed — Akrapovic states this as a requirement, not a suggestion. Three optional parts are available: a titanium track day link pipe and collector (L-K10E9/TD), an aluminium muffler bracket (P-MBK10E3) and a noise damper (V-TUV316).
Road Approval
None. This product does not meet emission compliance requirements for street or highway use. At 105.5 dB against the standard 93.8 dB it is a circuit exhaust, and running it on a road-registered machine is the owner's responsibility.
