DescriptionThe whole story▼

The TE 300 carries the biggest two-stroke engine in Husqvarna's enduro range, with a spread of torque that can put real strain through the drivetrain the moment the throttle opens. Accossato's RCM1, listed for the TE 300 built between 2014 and 2018, is a pair of rear axle blocks with a screw built into each side, letting that strain be matched with chain tension set precisely rather than guessed at.

Key Features

  • Rear axle blocks for the Husqvarna TE 300, 2014 to 2018
  • Accossato code RCM1, fitted at each end of the swingarm
  • Built-in adjusting screw for setting chain tension
  • Available in orange, black or silver
  • Same part also listed for the Husqvarna TE 125, the Husqvarna TE 250 and the Husqvarna TX 125
  • Accossato also offers the screw-free version of this block for this bike
  • No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition riding

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato sizes the RCM1 to the TE 300's own axle diameter and swingarm slot, with the screw built directly into the block rather than bolted on afterwards. Orange, black and silver give a choice of look without changing how the screw sets the wheel. A block whose screw binds, or whose surface shows a deep gouge from an impact, is worth a close inspection rather than being trusted on the next ride.

Matching Tension to a Stronger Engine

The TE 300's extra displacement over the smaller two-strokes in the range means more torque reaches the chain with every gearchange, and a chain left slightly looser than it should be shows that strain sooner on this bike than on something smaller. Riders stepping up from a 250 to the 300 for the first time sometimes carry over the same loose approach to tension checks that worked fine on the smaller engine, without realising how much quicker a poorly set chain can wear on the bigger bike. The RCM1's built-in screw makes setting tension precisely on both sides a quick, repeatable job rather than a guess, which matters more here than it might on a gentler-running machine. Checking it slightly more often than habit might otherwise suggest is a sensible adjustment to make with this engine under the bike.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato's own list spans the TE 300 from 2014 to 2017, plus the TE 300 I built in 2018, against the RCM1. The identical pair also fits the TE 125, the TE 250 and the TX 125, all sharing this swingarm. Riders who would rather set tension against marks on the swingarm can fit the RTM1 instead, which mounts in the identical position. Checking the exact build year against Accossato's list is worth doing regardless of which version is chosen.

Road Approval

No German ABE is on file for the RCM1, so Accossato lists it for off-road and competition use rather than for use on public roads.
