DescriptionThe whole story▼
Riders who take a Panigale V4 S seriously on circuit tend to end the day looking at a screen. Lap times, sector times, lean angle, where the brake was applied and for how long: the picture is detailed enough to show whether a session held together or fell apart in its second half. Accossato presses the AGPA106 front pad in the EV2 racing material for people who care about that, article AGPA106EV2, listed for the Panigale V4 S from 2018 to 2024. The company calls EV2 a compound made for racing and leaves it at that.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Ducati Panigale V4 S, 2018 to 2024
- Article AGPA106EV2: the AGPA106 pad in the EV2 racing material
- Accossato offers the compound for competition use
- Intended for full sessions at a serious pace rather than for commuting
- The S Corse of 2019 belongs to the same entry
- Two calipers at the front, so a change means two boxes
- One caliper's worth in every box
- No German ABE on record; competition part
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's placement of this material is narrow on purpose. It is a racing compound, which is both a recommendation and a warning, and a rider whose year is mostly road riding is better served by one of the other suffixes. Mechanically the article is interchangeable with them: the AGPA106 carrier is the same, so a set can be fitted to a Panigale V4 S the evening before an event without anything else being touched. Resistance to fading as the heat builds is one of the qualities Accossato attributes to its pads, and a twenty-minute session at full commitment is where a rider finds out what that is worth.
What the Data Logger Shows
A fast lap early in a session proves very little. What separates a good afternoon from a frustrating one is the tenth and eleventh lap, when the tyres have gone off slightly, the fuel load is lower and the rider is tired enough to make small errors. The trace shows it clearly: braking points that creep earlier, a longer period on the brake into the same corner, a lower entry speed that nobody consciously chose. Some of that is the rider and the tyres, and some of it is the brake asking for more lever than it did at the start.
Anyone reading data that closely should also read the pads. Take them out when the front wheel is off and compare the two calipers of the Panigale V4 S against each other. Watch the disc faces for the marks a hot session leaves. Change the fluid on a schedule instead of waiting for a soft lever to suggest it, and give a fresh set a controlled outing before the first session that counts.
Fitment and Compatibility
Important: this pad fits the Panigale V4 S from 2018 to 2024 only. The 2025 model uses a different front caliper and needs a different pad. Accossato catalogues the AGPA106 at the front of the Panigale V4 S for the seasons 2018 to 2024 and names the 2019 S Corse alongside the standard S. Each front caliper takes one box, so a full change is two. The rear of the same machine runs the AGPA42, listed through to 2026, and the DKS036 appears in the Accossato disc range for this model. Other Panigale variants have their own entries and year spans.
Road Approval
We hold neither an ABE nor a German test certificate for this article, which is why it is sold only for racing and closed circuits.
Scope of Delivery
A box of two AGPA106 pads in the EV2 racing material, enough for one front caliper. Two boxes cover the front of a Panigale V4 S.
