The weight saving is equally significant. The complete S1 system weighs 3.5 kg versus the stock unit at 9.7 kg — a reduction of 6.2 kg from a single bolt-on upgrade. Removing that mass from a centralised location lowers the centre of gravity and improves the bike's agility and turn-in response in a way that is immediately felt on track.
The titanium construction also reduces operating temperatures compared to the OEM system, contributing to more consistent performance over extended sessions and improved longevity of surrounding components.
Sound Character
The SC-Project S1 silencer produces a deep, aggressive racing note that is immediately identifiable. Measured sound levels for the Panigale V2 955 fitment are 106 dB at 5,375 rpm with the dB killer fitted, and 114 dB at 5,375 rpm without it. The dB killer can be removed or installed within minutes, giving the rider full control over volume to suit track regulations or personal preference.
Materials and Construction
The header pipes are fabricated from titanium and stainless steel AISI 304, combining corrosion resistance with the heat tolerance required for sustained high-rpm use. The silencer body is titanium, capped with a carbon fibre end-piece. CNC-machined titanium bushings locate every joint with race-shop precision, and every weld is executed using the T.I.G. process for consistent penetration and a visually clean bead. The result is a system that looks as purposeful as the performance it delivers.
