Race Engineering and Build Quality

Öhlins developed the FKR Cartridge Kit to slot directly into the existing Ducati Panigale V4 S fork legs, replacing the OEM internals with a fully race-specification cartridge assembly. The TTX (Twin Tube X-Flow) system routes oil through a cross-flow valve arrangement that maintains consistent damping force regardless of fork velocity — a fundamental advantage over single-tube designs when corner frequencies are high and input loads vary rapidly. The 8 mm piston rod is a key differentiator: the increased cross-section resists flex under braking loads, keeping the damping geometry precise during the critical phase of corner entry where stability is non-negotiable.

Track Use and Setup

Because the FKR 108 ships with three spring rates, a team can select the most appropriate rate for a given rider and circuit without ordering additional parts. The linear damping map makes changes in compression and rebound adjustment immediately interpretable — one click feels the same whether you are at full soft or mid-range, which simplifies data correlation and shortens setup time during practice sessions. Installation must be carried out by an authorised Öhlins Service Centre; a full installation manual is included in the box.

Safety and Road-Use Notice

This kit is certified for racing applications exclusively. It holds no approval for use on public roads under German road-traffic regulations (StVZO) and must not be fitted to any motorcycle used on public highways. Compliance with the regulations of the relevant racing series and circuit authority remains the responsibility of the team or individual rider.
