Machined from high-grade aluminium on a CNC mill and assembled to Brembo's exacting race tolerances, the GP4-RB 100mm radial caliper kit represents the pinnacle of Italian braking engineering. The two-piece bolted construction and asymmetric 30/34 mm four-piston layout deliver even pressure distribution across the pad face, giving serious racers the feedback and raw stopping power that circuit work demands.

Key Features

  • Two-piece CNC-machined aluminium body: exceptional rigidity with minimal mass, purpose-built for racing and track day use.
  • Four-piston configuration (2x 30 mm and 2x 34 mm) for progressive, precisely metered braking force throughout the lever stroke.
  • Dual-sealed pistons engineered for sustained performance under the extreme heat cycles of competitive racing.
  • Anti-vibration pad spring included, reducing brake pad chatter and maintaining consistent pad contact at all times.
  • Compatible with DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 brake fluid — no system modifications required for most race-prepared machines.
  • Complete kit supplied with high-performance sintered brake pads (part no. 07BB1973) ready for immediate fitment.
  • For racing use only — not road-legal or type-approved for public road use.

Build Quality and Materials

The GP4-RB body is produced from aerospace-grade aluminium using multi-axis CNC milling, a process that allows Brembo's engineers to remove material exactly where it is not needed while preserving wall thickness precisely where structural loads are highest. The resulting caliper is both lighter and stiffer than a conventionally machined or cast unit, which translates directly into a firmer, more consistent lever feel as brake temperatures climb. The two-piece bolted design allows each half to be inspected, serviced, or replaced independently — a practical advantage in a race environment where downtime costs lap times.

Each piston bore is machined to tight tolerances and fitted with dual seals. This arrangement maintains a stable fluid column even as the caliper flexes under hard braking loads, ensuring the modulation the rider feels at the lever is a true reflection of what is happening at the rotor — not hydraulic slop introduced by seal deflection.

On Track Performance

The asymmetric 30/34 mm piston arrangement is a deliberate design choice. The smaller leading pistons build pressure progressively, while the larger trailing pistons maximise clamp force at peak deceleration. Combined with the 100 mm radial mount pitch, this geometry suits the high-mount master cylinders fitted to modern superbikes and delivers a straight, consistent pull from the first application of a race session to the last. Offset of 22.5 mm positions the caliper correctly relative to the fork leg, keeping the hydraulic line routing clean and the torque path efficient.
