On track, the rear brake is a precision tool — used to rotate the bike, stabilise corner entry, and trim speed without upsetting the chassis. The Talos P2 34 is engineered exactly for that role: a CNC-machined 2-piston rear brake caliper built from billet aluminium, weighing just 375 g, with TIN-coated titanium pistons that hold a consistent bite point even deep into a long race stint.

Key Features

  • 2-piece billet aluminium body, CNC-machined for exceptional rigidity and precise force distribution at only 375 g
  • Twin 34 mm titanium pistons with TIN coating — outstanding heat resistance, minimal friction, and reduced wear over extended use
  • Hard anodised surface finish for scratch resistance, corrosion protection, and long-term material stability
  • 84 mm radial mounting pitch covering a wide range of performance and racing rear brake applications
  • Compatible with discs from 3.5 mm to 5 mm thick and brake pads from 5 mm to 8 mm — flexible pad and disc pairing
  • Compact, track-optimised design suited to performance road builds, circuit racing and custom setups

CNC Two-Piece Construction

The P2 34 caliper body is machined from high-grade billet aluminium in a two-piece configuration. Splitting the body this way allows tighter manufacturing tolerances across the piston bores while keeping overall mass to a minimum. The result is a caliper that resists flex under hard braking loads, distributes clamping force evenly across the pad surface, and delivers a pressure build-up that feels linear and predictable under your right foot. At 375 g it adds almost nothing to unsprung mass — a measurable advantage when chassis balance matters.

Titanium Pistons with TIN Coating

Where most budget rear calipers rely on stainless steel pistons, the Talos P2 34 uses titanium. Titanium has a lower thermal conductivity than steel, acting as a natural heat barrier between the disc and the brake fluid — critical for consistent pedal feel when the rear brake is working hard lap after lap. The TIN (titanium nitride) coating on each 34 mm piston reduces friction against the seal, extends service intervals, and resists the micro-corrosion that causes piston stiction over time. Combined, these two properties keep the bite point stable whether you are on the first lap or the last.

Hard Anodised Finish

The hard anodising process penetrates the aluminium surface rather than sitting on top of it, producing a finish that is significantly harder than standard anodising. The P2 34 benefits from high scratch resistance, full corrosion protection in wet or saline environments, and maintained dimensional stability at elevated operating temperatures. The technical aesthetic suits both exposed race-class fitments and high-specification road builds where component quality is on show.
