Build Quality & Materials

Arrow has built the 71211CKZ around an all-titanium construction throughout — header, silencer shell and internal components alike. Titanium offers an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio and copes effortlessly with the extreme heat cycling a high-revving four-cylinder generates lap after lap. The carbon end cap adds a further reduction in rotational mass at the tail of the system while giving the whole package a purposefully race-bred appearance. These are not decorative choices; every material decision in the Competition EVO line is driven by function.

Track Performance

The Competition EVO designation sits at the top of Arrow's race-oriented catalogue. The system is engineered to maximise power output and sharpen throttle pick-up compared to the standard exhaust, particularly in the mid-to-upper rev range where the YZF-R1 crossplane engine does its best work. Arrow recommends a custom ECU remap to unlock the full potential of the system; without remapping, the gains are still appreciable, but a dedicated map will extract every last fraction of performance the new flow characteristics make possible.
