This mat is rated at 1,800 l\/m²\/sec where the standard cloth carries 5,050 — a little over a third of the flow through the same area of material — and in exchange it closes on part of what an 80-micron weave passes without noticing: the fine, slow-settling fraction a dry track puts into the air and keeps there. Retention and flow move in opposite directions, always, so this is a choice of conditions and never a rung on a ladder. Neither medium adds power. Drying is passive — moving air alone, no heater, no oven, nothing carrying a flame — and the PM142P14 is refitted dry.
