This is the straight 11.5 millimetre version for original rims, anodised silver and sold as a single piece, which is how it is usually replaced: one wheel at a time, while the tyre is off anyway.

Key Features

Valve for original wheels, 11.5 mm

Straight version

Silver anodised

Supplied as a single piece

No registration required, according to Gilles

One piece, not a pair

The article is a single valve. Order two if both wheels are being done at the same service, which is the sensible way to do it since the labour is already paid for.

For original wheels

Gilles lists this valve for standard rims. Aftermarket forged or carbon wheels often use a different seat diameter, so check the wheel before ordering.

Straight or angled

The straight body is the right choice where the valve sits clear of the brake disc. Where it does not, the 74 degree version of the same valve is the one to take.

Road Approval

No registration required, says Gilles, for this pairing: it goes on the universal fit without an inspection and without an entry in the documents.

Scope of Delivery

In the box are 1x GALESPEED valve.

Fitting

The valve replaces the original in the rim. The wheel has to come off and the tyre has to be unseated on that side, so this is a job for a tyre fitter unless you have the tools.

Specifications

Brand: Gilles Tooling

Series: GALESPEED

Part number: 28200054

Type: Wheel valve, single piece

Diameter: 11.5 mm

Shape: Straight

Finish: Silver

For: Original wheels

Fitment: Universal fit

Road approval: Not required (Gilles)
