Machined from a single billet of aluminium and proven across the full span of the Moto2 World Championship from 2020 to 2023, the Brembo Racing XA8D1E0 is one of the most visually striking and technically refined monoblock calipers ever produced for circuit racing. Its nickel-plated finish sets it apart on the bike as decisively as its four-piston architecture sets it apart on the braking zone — this is not a caliper that asks you to compromise.

Key Features

  • CNC-machined monoblock construction eliminates housing flex, delivering a firm, consistent lever feel from first lap to last
  • Four titanium pistons (2x 34 mm and 2x 38 mm) draw heat away from the pad contact zone, maintaining braking performance under sustained track loads
  • Central bridge design increases rigidity and resists distortion under the extreme hydraulic pressures generated in competition braking
  • Nickel-plated exterior provides corrosion resistance alongside the purposeful, race-department aesthetic the Moto2 series demands
  • 30 mm pad track and a 22.5 mm offset ensure precise pad presentation and caliper alignment on compatible fork legs
  • Sourced directly from the Moto2 class — a championship where braking consistency directly decides race outcomes

Design, Finish and Heritage

The Brembo Racing monoblock lineage stretches back decades through Grand Prix paddocks, and the "20-23" generation represents the culmination of lessons learned across thousands of race laps in the intermediate class. Where multi-piece calipers rely on fasteners to hold their halves rigid under load, the monoblock housing is carved as one continuous piece — a philosophy that translates directly into the tactile feedback riders need to brake late and trail the lever with confidence.

The nickel plating is more than cosmetic. It seals the aluminium against moisture, salt residue from track spray, and the corrosive by-products of brake fluid contamination at high temperature, extending service life while keeping the caliper looking as sharp at the end of a season as it did on the opening round. The result is a component that earns its place both in the technical regulations binder and in a glassed display case.

Performance on Track

The titanium piston specification is a direct consequence of Brembo's Moto2 programme. Titanium conducts heat far less readily than steel, creating a thermal barrier between the hot pad compound and the hydraulic fluid in the caliper bore. This keeps fluid temperature lower, reduces the risk of vapour lock, and preserves that progressive, confidence-inspiring pedal feel deep into a race stint. The mixed-diameter piston layout — 34 mm leading, 38 mm trailing — biases initial bite and progressive ramp-up in a way that suits both the aggressive entry phase and the nuanced trail-braking a modern race chassis rewards.

Pad thickness range runs from a minimum of 6.5 mm to a maximum of 9.5 mm. Note that brake pads are not included and must be ordered separately — Brembo's own Racing compound range is the natural companion.

Fitment and Compatibility

This caliper is designed exclusively for fork legs with a 108 mm mounting centre distance. It is intended solely for closed-circuit racing use and is not approved or suitable for road or public highway use. Always verify fork mounting geometry before installation.

Compatible fitment spans a wide range of performance machinery running 108 mm fork mounts, including models from Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, MV Agusta, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha. Representative models include the Aprilia RSV4 / RSV4 R / RSV4 RR / RSV4 RF / RSV4 1100 / RSV4 1100 Factory / RS 660, BMW S1000RR / M1000RR / HP4 / HP4R, Ducati 848 / 899 / 959 / 1199 / 1199 S / 1199 R / 1299 / 1299 S / V4 / V4 S / V4 R, Honda CBR 600 RR / CBR 1000 RR / CBR 1000 RR-R, Kawasaki ZX-6R / ZX-10 R / ZX-10 RR, KTM RC 390 / RC8 1190, MV Agusta F3 / F4, Triumph Daytona 675 / 675 R / 765 / 765 Moto 2 / Street Triple 765 R / Street Triple 765 RS, Yamaha R1 / R1M / R6 / R7 / R9, and others sharing the 108 mm fork specification. Confirm your specific model year and fork mount dimensions before ordering.
