How Inter-Pace works · Build Your Look · The full guide

Build the rider, not the basket.

Helmet, suit, gloves, boots — assembled as one outfit, inside a budget you set, from pieces that actually exist in the colour you picked. Then argue with it until it's yours.

The problem

Gear arrives one box at a time.

You buy the helmet in spring because the old one is five years old. The gloves in July, because the old ones split. The boots when the budget recovers. Each one made sense on its own — and together they look like three different people had a go at dressing you. Nobody plans an outfit that way. It just happens, one reasonable decision at a time, and by the end you own a wardrobe instead of a look.

The whole rider, in one go.

What it is

The whole rider, in one go.

Build Your Look assembles a complete outfit — helmet, suit or jacket and trousers, gloves, boots — and shows it as one rider rather than four search results. Answer a few questions and it proposes one; or skip them and build it yourself.

Then it becomes yours to argue with. Lock the helmet you've fallen for and shuffle everything else around it. Mark the boots as I already own these and it stops trying to sell them to you. Swap any piece, pick an exact model, set a colour for the whole look or just for one part. When you're happy, the whole thing goes into the cart at once.

It only offers looks that actually exist.

The part that's unusual

It only offers looks that actually exist.

Most configurators let you build a fantasy and discover the problem at checkout. This one narrows itself to reality first.

Move the budget slider and the histogram behind it shows how many complete, buildable looks live in each price band — real products, in stock, with photographs. Pick a colour and the slider itself shrinks, because the range of what's achievable in that colour is smaller: a full look in yellow simply doesn't reach as high as one in black, and the tool says so rather than letting you drag into a band it can't fill. If a colour doesn't exist for one slot, that slot says so plainly instead of quietly substituting something else.

It's a small kind of honesty, and an awkward one to build: the tool has to run the whole assembly twice, at both extremes, just to know what it can promise.

How it goes

Four moves, no homework.

01

Pick a world

Racing, Sport, Street, Touring or Adventure — or let the questions find it. Racing and Sport start as a one-piece suit; the rest as jacket and trousers.

02

Set the money

Drag the range. The look rebuilds inside it — no silent overshoot, no bait piece you can't afford.

03

Argue with it

Lock what you love, swap what you don't, mark what you own. Everything else rearranges around your decisions.

04

Take it or keep it

Add the whole look to the cart, or save it. Saved looks keep their sizes.

It styles you. It doesn't protect you.

What it won't do

It styles you. It doesn't protect you.

Worth saying plainly: this tool reasons about budget, colour and availability. It does not check whether your combination makes sense on the road. Put a race helmet with light city gloves and it will hand it to you without a murmur — it has no opinion about armour ratings, and we'd rather tell you that than let a clever-looking builder imply an approval it never gave.

Protection is still a decision you make, and it's the one worth reading about. That's what the rest of this magazine is for — and if you'd rather just ask someone, that works too.

A look isn't four purchases. It's one decision you made four times.

So we put the four back together before you spend anything.

The verdict

See it together before you own it apart.

One rider instead of four tabs, a budget that holds, colours that exist, and every piece swappable until it's yours. Add the lot to the cart, or save it with your sizes and sleep on it.
