Every component in this kit is manufactured to tolerances that separate serious track machinery from the rest — this is not an upgrade, it is a transformation.

Engineering Excellence

The FKR Cartridge Kit operates as a sealed, spring-under-pressure unit. Unlike conventional gas-pressure fork internals, the closed-system design removes the sealed gas chamber from the equation entirely. The result is a more consistent pressure environment inside the cartridge, eliminating the performance drift that can occur when gas-side seals degrade over a season of hard use.

The 8 mm piston rod at the heart of the TTX system is a deliberate material and geometry choice: the reduced diameter lowers the effective rod area acting against the oil column, which in turn reduces the pressure spike on compression. This translates directly into a more linear force curve — exactly what a skilled rider needs to extract the last tenth on a demanding circuit.

Track Use and Setup

The FKR 107 is designed exclusively for closed-circuit competition use. With three spring rates in the box, a technician can dial in the correct front-end stiffness for a given rider and venue before touching the external adjusters. That foundation means the damping tune is built on the right spring platform from the outset — the only correct way to set up a competition fork.

Installation requires specialist Öhlins tools and the correct grade of fork oil, neither of which is included. Öhlins strongly recommends fitting by an authorised Öhlins service centre. Tools and fork oil are available through the Öhlins online shop.
